Channel your inner mixologist and make yourself a creative drink this weekend. Today’s recipe comes from Bourbon Steak Co-Head Bartender Jamie MacBain, who coined his creation, “The Jefferson.” MacBain’s play on the Manhattan has become one of the restaurant’s most popular cocktails — and if you’ve seen how many cocktails Bourbon has on its menu, you know that’s quite the achievement.

Try it for yourself at home, or head into the restaurant (and have some duck fat fries too while you’re at it).

Bourbon Steak’s The Jefferson Cocktail

2 oz Bulleit Bourbon (or any other dry 90 proof bourbon)
¾ oz Carpano Antica Vermouth
½ oz Creme de Mure (blackberry liqueur, not blackberry brandy)
1 dash Fee Bros. Old Fashioned bitters

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Stir until well chilled. Garnish with a lemon twist.
