There’s something comforting about the flavors of fall–pumpkins, apples, cinnamon, nuts. This is the time of year when the air gets a little more brisk, and the desire to hibernate gets a little stronger. September is National Hazelnut Month, which for me means it time to break out the mock turtleneck and two of my favorite liquors, Frangelico and Diep 9 Apple. Try this sweet, velvety cocktail at home. It’s perfect for pairing with any meal, even with Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the morning).
Apple Hazelnut “Fall Basket” Cocktail

1½ oz Diep 9 Apple infused genever
Splash of simple syrup
Splash of cranberry juice
Combine with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a glass with a brown sugar rim. Garnish with a thin slice of apple.
