Ashok Bajaj has opened a new, 160-seat American brasserie in the heart of Penn Quarter.  The restaurateur’s eighth DC venture, NoPa Kitchen + Bar, features the talents of Executive Chef Greg McCartney, and the menu will feature fresh veggies, meats and fish, all with a touch of French influence.

Look for dishes such as baby beet and Mandarin orange salad, with aged goat cheese and black truffle vinaigrette; crispy soft-shells with avocado puree; Chilean seabass with baby eggplant; 10 oz. prime dry-aged strip steak served with fries; and lemon scented shortcake with poached rhubarb.

The new space, located across from the National Gallery and adjacent to the Spy Museum, features expansive windows, neutral colors and rustic chic decor.
