It’s our first weekly roundup of the year! If you can brave the Artic temps this week, there’s lots of eating to be done. It’s always good to have options, I say. Onward and upward! Or is that upward and forward?

The Bombay Club is celebrating its 25th birthday! Ashok Bajaj moved to DC in 1988 and convinced his skeptical landlord to open a fine dining Indian restaurant. Celebrate this visionary restaurateur at his original restaurant with a special menu.

Saturday: Art and Soul is hosting an intimate, family-style Pacific Northwest Beer Dinner hosted by Executive Chef Wes Morton and his team on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 7-10 pm, beginning with a reception and passed hors d’oeuvres before moving to a seated, 4-course meal.

Sunday: Beloved Cleveland Park eatery Dino will close its doors permanently, and a closing party is tentatively scheduled for January 12th or 13th, where you c
an eat them out of house and home. Call (202) 686-2966 for more information.  Update: Owner Dean Gold reached an agreement with his landlord, and will remain open through Sunday night, February 23.

Monday: It’s back! DC Winter Restaurant Week returns January 13-19, 2014, with more than 200 of Washington, DC’s finest restaurants offer 3-course lunches for $20.14 and 3-course dinners for $35.14.  It’s a great opportunity to experience DC’s best restaurants at lower prices!
