Congressional Seafood hosted its 2nd annual Hook, Line and Sinker FINvitational fishing expedition at Kent Island, Maryland this week. We joined the festivities as seafood and restaurant industry professionals flocked to the Chesapeake Bay to enjoy a full day of fishing, (beer) oysters, (beer) fresh seafood (beer) and the kind of fun that only happens when 130 chefs get together.
These pros competed to hook the largest rockfish, measuring in at 24 inches, then returning to dry land where even yours truly competed in an oyster-eating contest at Harris Crab House.
A portion of the proceeds went to the Oyster Recovery Partnership, a nonprofit group working to restore the oyster population in the Chesapeake Bay.
Check out the 1-minute video to watch the juicy fun!
