A super easy, adult-erated twist on childhood snow cones is to take Francis Ford Coppola Wines in Diamond Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio or Merlot, your favorite fruit syrup, and voila! Get ready to party. All you’re missing is the truck and an ice cream man.
Francis Ford Coppola Wines are great for spikin’ because they’re great wines at a nice price point, and you can easily find them at DC-area grocers like Giant Food and Safeway. Get yourself a snow cone ice shaver, or finely crushed ice and you’ve got yourself a classy way to cool off in DC Black Lagoon swamp heat. The challenge will be keeping these babies frozen as you smuggle them into Jazz in the Garden. Not that we condone that.
