Bob Kinkead is a DC legend.  With successes like Kinkead’s and now, Ancora, Campono won’t be a stranger to DC.  Now open to the public, and already packed for every service, this place is not just for the Kennedy Center goers!  It’s a place that people say is worth the trip and I agree! It’s located right next to Ancora in the Watergate Building.  It has a beautiful industrial-meets-traditional design with firewood lining the walls and an outdoor patio seating.Baked in rustic wood-fired ovens, Campono offers a variety of neapolitan style pizzas with perfect leopard spotted crust.  Although not on the menu, surprisingly, the most popular pizza ordered is a simple pepperoni pizza!

Burrata White Pizza and the Americana.

For my sweet tooth, the best part of my visit was the homemade gelato!  He’s made some of the best flavors, including a very well done pistachio. With a warm and welcoming team, this place has become my go-to for a quick bite in the city. We couldn’t get enough!  #noregrets
