T

he race to the White House is on!  Stop by Topaz Bar for its Super Tuesday Viewing Party on March 6, 2012 as they serve up politically-charged cocktails from 5 pm until close.

The Topaz Hotel stands where Theodore Roosevelt lived for a short time while president, before officially moving into The White House. Sometimes the site is still referred to as the “Little White House.”

On the menu is a cocktail named for each Republican candidate:

Join Rick’s Tea Party ($9) with an herb-scented mix of green tea-infused Absolut vodka, Benedictine liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup.  A few more drops of juice and it turns into Rick’s Lemon Party.

The Romney Float requires little funding at just $5, for Old Dominion root beer blended with whipped heavy cream and a house-made “Salt Lake” caramel drizzle.  Earmark an extra $6 for a shot of Root organic liqueur.

Newt ain’t a Georgia peach, but the Gin-grich and Tonic ($9) is.  A twist on the old classic, Bluecoat gin and Fentimans tonic are topped off with a peach liqueur float.  It might be as close as he gets to winning The Peach State.

Ron’s PBR ($5) is simply a can of PBR.  Joint not included.
