[Mary Kong] 01 18 2011Deals For Deeds hosts Deals on Wheels January 17-23, 2011, featuring some of the D.C. area’s most popular food trucks, with 10% of each purchase going directly to support Miriam’s Kitchen.
The organization was founded in 1983 in response to an urgent need for services for the homeless in Washington, DC and provides free, homemade meals and high- quality support services to more than 4,000 homeless men and women each year. The goal of the week is to raise $250, which will provide 250 meals.
The line-up for the week:
Monday
Eat Wonky – $3.75 for a Wonky Dog and a Drink ($7.50 value)
Tuesday
Takorean – $10 for 6 Takos and 2 Drinks ($20 value)
Wednesday
Solar Crepes – $5 for $10 to spend at Solar Crepes
Thursday
Sâuçá – $5 for 1 Entree and 1 Drink ($10 value)
Friday
DC Empanadas – 50% off TBD
Saturday
Sabor’a Street – $5 for 1 Entree and 1 Drink ($10 value)
