It’s the crème de la crème of all foodie events!  If you love celebrity chefs, this is the event for you.

The Capital Food Fight brings the food industry’s best talent together to support DC Central Kitchen on Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. ~ 8:30 p.m. DCCK’s unique brand of community empowerment, uses the kitchen as a central location to recover unused food, prepare and deliver meals to partner social service agencies, train and employ homeless men and women for the food service industry, and intellectually engage volunteers.

Dozens of the D.C. area’s best restaurants will serve signature dishes, while top chefs will battle it out on-stage. Food critics and national celebrities will be on hand to mingle with you and add to the excitement!

June 1, 2010

Experience flavor with a view!  The Food & Wine Festival at National Harbor, a world-class event, will celebrate distinctive cuisine, fine wine, beer and spirits. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the latest culinary and varietal trends.

Many world regions will be represented, providing a wide assortment of styles, but all festival participants share one philosophy—a personal dedication to their artistry and a loyalty to local, fresh, in-season, and responsibly sourced ingredients.

Sample and learn about the growing trend of handcrafted artisanal products, such as premium sea salt, cheese, bread, chocolate, coffee, teas, beer, olive oils, ice cream and more.

A varied selection of informative and entertaining sessions will be offered. There will be demonstrations and tastings by chefs, wine and beer experts.

Or, relax in the waterfront Belgian Beer Café featuring Stella Artois, Hoegaarden & Leffe.  Kids can enjoy a new program of fun activities and demonstrations to inspire children to cook and enjoy healthy food.
