On Thursday, March 11, 2010, 150 restaurants in the Washington metropolitan area will join together to support children and adults living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses by contributing 25%-100% of their sales to local DC non-profit, Food & Friends.
Simply by dining out, you will ensure that thousands of your neighbors battling life-challenging illnesses will continue to receive the daily, nutritious meals so vital to their care.
Participating restaurants include Carlyle, Tosca, Level One, BGR, Bombay Curry Club, Busboys and Poets, Eatonville, Jackson 20, 1409 Playbill Cafe, Againn, Black’s Bar and Kitchen, Bobby’s Crabcakes, Cashion’s Eat Place, CommonWeealth, La Fourchette, Pizzeria Paradiso, Proof, Ray’s the Classics, Tabard Inn, zpizza and tons more! Food & Friends is the only nonprofit organization in the Washington area providing daily, home-delivered, specialized meals, groceries and nutrition counseling to individuals in the community who are facing some of life’s most difficult challenges. The funds raised through Dining Out for Life allows Food & Friends to continue to provide these critical services at no cost to the clients.
