Brasserie Des Franches-Montagnes
Cask Tapping & Brewmaster Meet & Greet
Portion Of Proceeds To Benefit Haitian Relief
Join ChurchKey tonight as they welcome Jérôme Rebetez, owner & brewmaster of the Swiss Craft Brewery Brasserie Des Franches-Montagnes. ChurchKey will be pouring the first cask of his intriguing B.A.T.S. to arrive in DC—an innovative ale brewed with Lapsang Souchong tea leaves, which have been smoked over pinewood fires.
A portion of the proceeds from tonight’s cask tapping will be donated to the Neighborhood Restaurant Group’s Haitian relief efforts. In addition to tonight’s cool cask, many of Jerome’s rare and sought after brews will also be available in bottles.
Cask tasters will run $4.50 & glasses for $9. A portion of the proceeds from these sales will be donated directly to Haitian relief efforts. Reservations are not required.

Wood-Clad Aventinus-Eisbock
Gravity Pour Keg Tapping
On Wednesday night ChurchKey will tap an extremely rare wooden-clad keg pf Aventinus Eisbock, from the famed Schneider Brewery of Bavaria. The strong, dark Hefeweizen has been frozen post-fermentation to concentrate the already intense flavors, and its complexity is further accentuated by this particular method of service: the keg is oak-clad, contributing woody, vanilla subtleties to the ale, and is poured like cask ale.
Being tapped upon the bar, the Eisbock’s bouquet leaps from the glass, and its bubbles are beautifully restrained, allowing this German specialty to soak into the palate. As with the cask of BFM B.A.T.S., a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this brew will also be donated directly to Haitian relief efforts.
